TaÅŸucu is a small town of Silifke. About 10-11.000 persons live in TaÅŸucu but this number becomes about 20.000 by the tourists in summer. TaÅŸucu has got a nice blue sea and green forest. The TaÅŸucu Harbour is TaÅŸucu's door which opened to Northern Cyprus.
There are two primary school, one high school and one university; these are "Taşucu İlköğretim Okulu (Taşucu Primary Education School)" , "Taşucu SEKA İlköğretim Okulu (Taşucu SEKA Primary Education School)" , "Taşucu Durmuş Tezcan Lisesi (Taşucu Durmuş Tezcan High School)" and "Taşucu Selçuk Üniversitesi (Taşucu Selçuk University)".
TaÅŸucu became more beautiful with new TOKÄ° houses. And, the festival is organised every summer in TaÅŸucu. This year (2009) festival was 7-8-9 August. This year a free ship-trip was organised for TaÅŸucu people last day of the festival.
TaÅŸucuspor is TaÅŸucu's football team. Their colours are blue-white. The football fans of TaÅŸucu say them Mediterranean Sea's Devils or Red Satans.
