Petah Tikva is a city in the Center District of Israel, north-east of Tel Aviv. Petah Tikva's jurisdiction covers 39,000 dunams (39 km² or 15 sq mi). The population density is 4,600 inhabitants per square kilometre (12,000 /sq mi). According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, as of September 30, 2006, the city's population stood at 182,800, growing at an annual rate of 2.6%. |
